We are still talking about Illuminations. I hope these posts are helping you to understand how the program works.
If you watched the first video on “How to create a schedule with Illuminations” then you are ready to look at some other tweaks of the software.
I have to admit I needed a little extra help on creating this post and video. I emailed my co-worker who works 5 days a week on the redesign of Illuminations. These are the points he felt every user would benefit from knowing. I even had to do conference call to fully understand all the details.
I think being able to add a forgotten subject to an already created schedule was my favorite tweak to learn. Last year I actually had to redo a few schedules because I had forgotten a few subjects.
Do not forget to explore the information found in the teacher’s guide section. It contains a nice list of what all the acronyms stand for in Illuminations. Bright Ideas Press does keep a list of frequently asked questions about Illuminations.
Illuminations Schedule Tweaks Video:
In this Youtube video I begin with the schedule created from the first video.
- How to save your schedule.
- How to add a subject to an already created schedule.
- Can you print the schedule information from only one subject?
- Can you change the number of weeks in the program?
- How to condense information in the grid to achieve a one page schedule.
Still have questions about the schedule software in Illuminations? Tomorrow I am a posting about combining weeks when illness strikes.
There are other videos about Illuminations on the Bright Ideas Press website.
