The recent F5 tornado in Oklahoma…Super Storm Sandy in New Jersey…Neighborhood Homeless Shelter…Local Food Bank…and the list could go on.
In these days of multiple social media platforms, the world can seem much smaller. A quick look on Facebook and you could probably find a friend of a friend who is experiencing great loss in this current weather tragedy.
We don’t like to talk about planning for funerals or who will get custody of our children in the event of our own passing but our logic tells us we should.
This weekend my family has decided to start a fund for national giving.
Once we have given to our local church, and we have given to our local charities, we want a small fund for when things like F5 tornados happen.
I firmly believe in small donations adding up to big numbers. I also make sure we only give to organizations that have a long standing of giving most of their funds to those in need.
So even though its sad to have a fund for when tragedies like F5 tornadoes happen, we know that weather has a way of bringing devastation to different locations.
We now have a small fund for these emergencies.
I belong to a blogging network, Inspired Bloggers Network, who wanted to do something to help those in Oklahoma. We have joined together in hopes that we can help raise funds. You can click over to Inspired Bloggers to read more.
One of the organizations we love to support is Samaritans Purse.
