Not too sure if my kids have read a flow chart before, but after this printable creation, they have. At my house my kids have been known to walk past their father and hunt me down to ask a question. They have, in the past, called and texted me on my phone to ask a question. For some strange reason asking their father doesn’t pop in their mind often.
Since springtime equals my travel season, I wanted to create a flow chart on what to do when my kids have a question and I am away. After hanging the flow chart on the refrigerator I reviewed with my kids what constituted an emergency. If the house was truly on fire, call 911 first and then me. Then we followed the different options of how to get an answer for their questions.
After all was discussed my son said, “Well basically you don’t want us to call you.”
“Well only if it’s an emergency.”
I am so excited to be heading to the Beech Retreat this weekend. Then in about 2 months I will be heading to the 2:1 Conference. My goal is to become a better blogger. If I am going to spend time away from my family sharing our homeschooling journey here on Layered Soul then I want to be the best I can be. How amazing that there are conferences designed just to help bloggers improve their blogs!
Since flow charts have just been introduced at my house I am thinking of having the kids create some while I am gone. I think it will make an excellent creative writing assignment.
