I have compiled this North Star Geography video list for my boys to refer to each week. During the 2015-2016 school year I will be adding and tweaking this list especially since their schedule grid reads go to mommy’s blog and watch your geography videos.
Geography Bulletin Board
Since visual learning was taking over my planning thoughts, I created a bulletin board style display.
About 2 years ago I hung a Galvanized Drip Pan on my wall above our drop leaf school table. I printed some maps from WonderMaps and two of the landform pages from North Star Geography. I included the definition of geography to help my boys to understand why they are learning about it this year. To help them visualize longitude and latitude I included an extra reminder.
Now when they sit down to school lessons they have great information to read while avoiding their math lessons.
Oh, did you know? North Star Geography comes in an audio format. My boys can review by listening to Tyler Hogan read to them.
